Pretty girls in bikini's vie for a chance to show off their local color, and their tan lines in a professionally produced calendar. Contestants compete for a spot on the Pacific Beach 12 pin-up calendar. Twelve winners are invited to exotic locations to be photographed by PB12's team of professional photographers. 

What is unique about this calendar is the way the models are selected. The PB12 community act as local talent scouts, agents, promoters, judge and jury for the bikini clad hopefuls. PB12 members download special "Spotter Cards" with unique log-in access codes that allow potential talent to enter the contest. Once entered, the member con promote their model to the rest of the PB12 community, and if she is selected for the calendar, the member gets invited to participate in the photo shoot, all expenses paid.
